The political atmosphere in Bihar is charged up ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, with leaders constantly engaging in verbal duels. A recent incident captured RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav dancing joyfully with supporters, including his nephew, on Patna’s JP Ganga Path. The video quickly gained traction on social media, receiving positive reactions and also drawing satirical comments. Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi weighed in, stating that during the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav, such youths might have been subjected to forced dancing at the Chief Minister’s residence under duress. He described this as an example of the true nature of good governance.
Following the closing of the Voter Adhikar Yatra on September 1st, the Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, danced on the street at midnight with a group of youngsters. Commenting on the video, Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi stated that watching the group of youths dancing at midnight on the well-lit roads of Bihar, the Leader of the Opposition must have understood how good governance operates. He emphasized that Tejashwi had an opportunity to witness the genuine picture of good governance in Bihar at that hour.
Recalling the era of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Jitan Ram Manjhi said that today, under the good governance of Bihar, if the government was that of Lalu ji of ‘jungle raj,’ then these youths, including Tejashwi Yadav, would have been abducted by goons and forced to dance under threat at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Lauding the good governance of the Nitish Kumar-led government, Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi noted that Tejashwi Yadav had witnessed the good governance of the NDA government. Despite this, he continues to make unfounded accusations against the Bihar government for political gains. However, the public of Bihar is aware of the situation and understands the effect of the NDA’s good governance.
Advising Tejashwi Yadav, Manjhi asserted that Tejashwi needs to understand the importance of the NDA for Bihar’s development.
Tejashwi Yadav, who participated in the Voter Adhikar Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, which concluded in Patna on September 1st after 16 days, was seen in a celebratory mood. He was observed dancing on Patna’s JP Ganga Path with his nephew and supporters. In the viral video, he could be seen attempting to follow dance steps alongside his young fans.
