Raipur, September 01, 2025/ The administration was prompt in dealing with the recent floods in Dantewada and providing necessary help to the affected people. During his foreign tour, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai had also given necessary instructions to the collectors of the flood affected districts through video conferencing from South Korea.
Today, on the arrival of the Chief Minister at Chudi Tikrapara of Dantewada, the flood affected families expressed their gratitude to the administration for providing timely rescue and relief. The people present said that all the affected families are safe and sound due to this sensitive initiative of the government. All facilities like stay in relief camp, food and treatment are available.
Flood victims Gupeshwari Kashyap, Shalini Sharma, Savita Patre and Lata Sagar told Chief Minister Shri Sai that there is no problem of any kind in the relief camp and now ration, utensils, clothes, gas cylinders and chulha have also been provided. Financial assistance has also been received for the collapse of the house and now they will stay in the relief camp here until the house is built. The affected people told that with the onset of the flood, all the people had gone to a safe high place on the appeal of the administration. Then after the flood water receded, they were accommodated in the relief camp in the hostel building of Chudi Tikrapara.
Similarly, Rita Kashyap, Draupadi Nag, Kundan Gupta, Mahesh Nag, Babita Nag and other affected people also appreciated the relief and rehabilitation efforts of the administration and thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai.
When Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai visited the house of Somdi Sodhi, a resident of Chudi Tikrapara, during his meeting with the flood affected people, Smt. Somdi Sodhi became emotional. She told that the whole house was submerged due to the flood. She was admitted to the hospital for treatment a day before the flood and both her daughters were also with her, due to which her life was saved. She returned home on Friday after recovering from the hospital.
Somdi said that all the goods in the house were damaged in the flood water. In the meantime, the administration has provided ration, utensils, clothes, gas cylinders and chulha. Along with this, the facility of breakfast, food and treatment is also being provided in the relief camp. Smt. Somdi expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for the government’s help in this hour of disaster.
Similarly, Suresh Baghel, a flood victim of Chudi Tikrapara, Dantewada, said that the whole family was in the house on the day the flood came. On the information of the administration, they all went to a safe place and reached the relief camp a day later. Last Friday, they returned home from the camp.
Suresh said that the administration has provided all the necessary items like ration, utensils, gas cylinders and chulha, blankets-sheets and clothes, which has given great relief to his family.
