In a welcome development, oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of LPG gas cylinders. This price cut will benefit consumers, with reductions of up to 51 rupees on the cards. The price adjustments are applicable only to the 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinders.
As a result of the price change, commercial gas cylinders in Delhi will now cost 1580 rupees for the 19 kg variant. The previous price in Delhi was 1631.50 rupees. The new prices are effective from September 1st.
Oil marketing companies have adjusted the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders. The price of 19-kilogram commercial LPG gas cylinders has been reduced by 51.50 rupees starting today. From September 1st, the retail selling price for 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders in Delhi will be 1580 rupees. The prices of 14.2-kilogram domestic cylinders remain unchanged.
There has been a trend of decreasing prices for 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinders since January 1, 2025, excluding March. A reduction of 14.50 rupees was seen on January 1st, followed by a 7-rupee cut in February.
However, prices saw an increase of 6 rupees on March 1st. This was later followed by a significant decrease of 41 rupees on April 1st for commercial gas cylinders. Further reductions of 14 rupees on May 1st and 24 rupees on June 1st were also implemented. A major reduction of 58.50 rupees was introduced on July 1st. In addition, there was a further reduction of 33.50 rupees on August 1st. Another round of price cuts has now been announced.
