Suresh Raina, the former Indian cricket star, has showered praise on Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a rising Indian batsman, suggesting he’s destined for greatness after his performance in the 2025 IPL season. Suryavanshi, at just 14 years old, was the talk of the town even before the tournament, as Rajasthan Royals secured his services for a substantial INR 1.1 crore. Suryavanshi met expectations, scoring 252 runs in just seven matches and swiftly becoming a key player in the league. His standout performance included a blistering innings against the Gujarat Titans, where he scored 101 runs off 38 balls. This feat not only made him the youngest male cricketer to score a T20 century but also marked the second-fastest century in IPL history, achieved in just 35 balls. Raina pointed out Suryavanshi’s bold approach, which he believes sets him apart. Raina highlighted Suryavanshi’s recent century in England and another in the IPL, as evidence of his potential. He also spoke about a coach from Bihar who supported Suryavanshi’s journey, reflecting on the player’s rare talent, similar to Rishabh Pant and Rinku Singh, and praising Ayush Mhatre for his early success.
