The presence of two Pakistani women on the voter list in Bihar has initiated an investigation. The women, who reportedly entered India around seven decades ago, were identified during a review by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Ministry’s probe revealed that Imrana Khanam (also known as Imrana Khatoon) and Firdousia Khanam had been issued voter ID cards in Bhagalpur’s Tank Lane. The women were verified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) before the upcoming 2025 assembly elections. The Booth Level Officer (BLO) in charge of verification confirmed they were notified by the election department following communication from the Home Ministry.
