The Houthi Prime Minister, Ahmed al-Rahawi, was reportedly killed in an air strike conducted by Israel in Sana’a, Yemen. This information was reported by The Times of Israel, citing the Yemeni newspaper Al-Jumhuriya. The strike took place on August 28th and targeted al-Rahawi’s residence. Other Houthi officials are also believed to have been killed in the attack.
Israeli authorities suggest that Defense Minister Mohammed al-Atifi and Chief of Staff Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari were also killed. The attack followed another strike on a gathering of senior Houthi ministers who were assembled to hear a speech by Abdul Malik al-Houthi.
