VinFast has officially declared the launch date for its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India, setting the stage for a competitive entry into the market. The highly anticipated VinFast VF6 and VF7 are slated to debut on September 6, 2025, marking a significant step for the Vietnamese automaker in the Indian automotive landscape. The vehicles were first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo held in Delhi earlier in the year.
Prior to the official launch date, the company initiated bookings for the electric SUVs with a token amount of Rs 21,000. While expectations were high for an August launch, no confirmation was released until now. The manufacturer has now disclosed plans to unveil the models in early September.
### VinFast VF7 Details
Reports indicate the VinFast VF7 SUV will be available in three distinct variants, namely Earth, Wind, and Sky. The vehicle will boast six color options, including Jet Black, Desat Silver, Infinity Blank, Crimson Red, Zenith Gray, and Urban Mint, designed to accentuate its exterior and reflect the brand’s design ethos. A key design element is the DRLs that extend across the entire width of the front, meeting in a V-shape that highlights the brand’s logo.
### VinFast VF7 Battery and Performance
The VinFast VF7 will offer both 2WD and 4WD configurations. It is equipped with a 70.8kWh battery pack. The 2WD model features a 204 hp front engine, while the AWD variant adds a rear motor, providing a combined output of 350 hp and 500 Nm. The VF7 AWD has a WLTP range of 431 km, and the front-wheel-drive variant can achieve a range of 450 km.
### VinFast VF 6 Design Overview
The VinFast VF6 presents a bold design, characterized by LED daytime running lights at the front. These lights flow downward towards the center, highlighting the ‘V’ logo. The grille features a honeycomb pattern complemented by wide air dams and black cladding. At the rear, the VF6 incorporates an LED strip tail light that mirrors the design language of the front.
### VinFast VF 6 Battery Specifications
Powering the VF6 is a 59.6 kWh battery, which supplies energy to a 204 hp motor located on the front axle. While the ARAI range is not yet disclosed, the vehicle boasts a WLTP-rated range of 480 km.
