The traditional pairing button is being removed in favor of touch-based controls directly on the case. Users will be able to pair their earbuds with iOS devices and manage music playback and volume through touch gestures. The AirPods Pro 3 will also continue to support lanyards, compatible with existing accessories.
The overall design is expected to remain similar to prior generations, with subtle refinements. This approach aims for ease of use for current users while introducing new features for an improved experience.
