A meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, the 57 member countries of the OIC called for the cancellation of Israel’s membership in the United Nations, citing Israel’s alleged violation of membership conditions.
The OIC ministers also expressed their disapproval of Israel’s actions in Gaza, including the occupation and full military control. They urged the UN General Assembly’s Security Council to organize a special session in September to address the situation.
The OIC voiced opposition to the ‘Greater Israel’ concept, labeling such statements as a violation of international law, the UN charter, and a threat to global peace.
