A couple was detained at a mall in Muzaffarpur following allegations of inappropriate behavior inside a washroom. The incident occurred at a mall located in Motijheel. According to mall employees, the couple was caught engaging in indecent acts within the washroom. Upon being confronted, the boyfriend reportedly became aggressive towards the staff, prompting them to call the police. The police arrived at the scene and took the couple into custody, transporting them to the local police station. The individuals are residents of the Sherpur area, under the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station. The boyfriend is employed at a mall on Aghoria Bazaar-Ramdayalu Road, while his girlfriend is a 12th-grade student. Prior to the incident, they had been shopping for books in the market.
The boyfriend stated that his girlfriend had a stomach ache, leading her to use the restroom. He followed her inside because of her discomfort. He claimed that the mall staff made false accusations against them. The police investigation revealed that the couple has been in a relationship for eight years and resides in the same village, with only a short distance separating their homes. Mall employees reiterated their claims of the couple’s inappropriate behavior, leading to their detention. Authorities summoned the families of the couple to the police station. The couple was later released on a personal recognizance bond, with a stern warning against any further misconduct.
