Renault India has upgraded its popular SUV, the Renault Kiger, with the introduction of the 2025 model. This new version prioritizes safety, now including six airbags and a suite of 21 advanced safety features. Notably, the starting price for this enhanced model is ₹6.29 lakhs, positioning it as a strong contender in the family car market due to its combination of stylish design, contemporary interior, and powerful performance.
The 2025 Kiger is available in four variants, reflecting a revised strategy. The Authentic (base) model is priced at ₹6.29 lakhs, the Evolution at ₹7.09 lakhs, the Techno at ₹8.90 lakhs, and the Emotion at approximately ₹9.14 lakhs. These prices apply to the non-turbo petrol engine options.
For the turbo-petrol variants, the Techno (equipped with a CVT gearbox) is available for ₹9.99 lakhs, and the Emotion (Turbo Petrol) is priced between ₹9.99 lakhs and ₹11.29 lakhs. These prices are introductory offers valid during the festive season.
The design updates are subtle but significant, designed to refresh the Kiger’s aesthetic appeal. Changes include a redesigned front bumper featuring LED headlights and LED fog lamps, with the DRLs remaining the same. The new model also introduces 16-inch alloy wheels with a fresh design, minor revisions to the rear, and an Oasis Yellow color option.
The interior has also been refined to enhance the driving experience. This includes a new dashboard design and the inclusion of an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Safety features have been significantly enhanced, now including six airbags and a total of 21 active and passive safety features, such as hill hold assist and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Kiger 2025 continues to offer the same engine options as the previous model: a 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, with a choice of a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
