The automotive industry consistently evolves, with manufacturers regularly updating vehicle designs. Volkswagen is reportedly planning to introduce a redesigned T-Roc, and a leaked concept drawing suggests a new styling direction. Though the brand has not issued an official statement, the rendering has ignited rumors of an updated T-Roc model.
The T-Roc was previously available in India from 2020 to 2021, powered by a 1.5 TSI engine generating 148 Bhp and 250 Nm of torque. It was imported as a CBU for a limited time, making it a relatively uncommon sight. Volkswagen initially retailed 1,000 units, and the vehicle was discontinued during its second year in India.
Volkswagen is strategically expanding its footprint in the Indian market. The recent introduction of the Golf GTI has bolstered the brand’s reputation as a performance-oriented manufacturer with a significant history. This potential new T-Roc could further enhance this image. The leaked sketches present a completely new design language compared to prior Volkswagen models. The front fascia features striking styling cues, echoing the Lamborghini Urus. Additionally, the car incorporates a sloping roofline that extends over the rear panel. The pronounced C-pillar highlights the designers’ intention to create a more coupe-like profile. It’s worth remembering that this rendering might not become reality, let alone reach India. However, if it does, it is poised to garner significant interest.
