A significant network outage caused major problems for Airtel users across India on Sunday. Many users reported difficulties, including dropped calls, absent network signals, and a complete halt to internet services. The company has yet to release an official statement regarding the issue. This outage marks the second network disruption within the past week.
The network failures started at approximately 10:44 AM, with the problems escalating by 12:14 PM. Over 7,000 users were affected, unable to make calls or use internet services. Prior to this, on August 19, over 3,500 users encountered similar issues, making this a recurring problem.
Complaints originated from various locations nationwide, but the impact was most heavily felt in cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cuttack, and Kolkata.
DownDetector’s data indicated that 52% of users faced calling problems, 32% had trouble accessing the internet, and 17% experienced a total network blackout. Users are actively sharing their dissatisfaction on social media platforms.
Social media posts highlighted network failures, with users tagging airtelindia. One user mentioned the complete network shutdown in their area, including a non-functional reporting system. Another user noted the absence of calls and internet in Karnataka. Users are hoping for a swift resolution to the ongoing issues.
Airtel has not yet commented on the outage, but it is expected that the company will take action to solve this issue.
