A former White House trade advisor, Peter Navarro, has accused India of contributing to the ongoing war in Ukraine. He alleges that India is profiting from the conflict by purchasing Russian oil, thereby strengthening ties with China’s Xi Jinping. Navarro stated that India is not working towards peace but is, in fact, escalating the war. He further stated that India is unwilling to accept responsibility for its role in the bloodshed of the Ukraine war.
Navarro issued a warning about the potential consequences of India’s continued purchase of Russian crude oil. He mentioned the looming August 27th deadline, where tariffs could be doubled. Navarro believes India does not require Russian oil, and the practice is purely a scheme for profitable refining. He highlighted that the funds India earns from selling goods to the United States are used to purchase Russian oil, which is then used by Russia to create more weapons and harm Ukrainians.
