With the approaching Ganesh Chaturthi on August 27th, the Raipur district administration has released a set of guidelines for the upcoming Ganesh Utsav. The preparations for the festival are in full swing. A meeting was held with various committees, led by Additional Collector Umashankar Bande and Additional SP Lakhan Patle. The committees were directed to comply with the National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines. Key regulations include mandatory permission from the administration for setting up pandals on roads, a complete ban on the use of loudspeakers after 10 PM, and the compulsory installation of CCTV cameras in all Ganesh Pandals. The committees are also required to deploy volunteers and ensure continuous monitoring throughout the night.
