Tata Motors is gearing up for a major expansion in the Indian market, with plans to introduce seven new SUVs. The company revealed this strategy during an investor meet, outlining its roadmap for the future. The initiative includes launching seven new vehicles by the year 2030, which will comprise three ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) models and four all-electric vehicles.
A key model in this lineup will be the Tata Sierra, which has been presented in various forms, including concept and production-ready versions. The electric variant of the Sierra is slated for an early release, with the ICE model expected in 2026. This new offering is positioned to compete directly with established players like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara. The Sierra EV is anticipated to have similar range and battery technology as the Harrier EV. The ICE versions are planned to feature new 1.5L naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, alongside a 2.0L diesel engine.
