Indian Railways is implementing a series of measures to ease travel for passengers during the upcoming festive season, particularly for those traveling to and from Bihar. A major announcement includes the operation of 12,000 special trains dedicated to Diwali and Chhath Puja. Passengers will also receive a 20% discount on their return journey tickets. This discount will be available for those returning between November 17th and December 1st, who traveled between October 13th and 26th.
The new train services encompass Amrit Bharat Express and Buddha Circuit trains, further enhancing connectivity. The Amrit Bharat Express will operate from key locations like Gaya, Saharsa, and Muzaffarpur. The Buddha Circuit trains are designed to link several significant locations, including Vaishali, Hajipur, Sonpur, Patna, and others. A Vande Bharat train will also be introduced on the Purna-Patna route. These improvements are expected to significantly benefit the large number of people traveling during the holidays.
