Notice to be sent to the parents of children who are continuously absent from school
Meeting of the District Level Steering cum Monitoring Committee under PM Poshan Shakti Nirman (Mid-day Meal) Scheme held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate, Jamtara Shri Ravi Anand (IAS).

Today, on 19.08.2025, a meeting of the District Level Steering cum Monitoring Committee under the Prime Minister’s Nutrition Power Construction (Mid-day Meal) Scheme and a meeting to review the works of the Education Department were held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Jamtara Shri Ravi Anand (IAS). In the meeting, various points were reviewed and necessary and appropriate directions were given to the concerned officers.
It was informed in the meeting that mid-day meal is being run in all the schools in the district. In which there is very less coverage in the month of June against the total number of enrolled students. Taking the low attendance of children in the schools seriously, he directed to send notices to the parents of the children who are continuously absent, and also directed to take necessary action to connect the children with the school.
Apart from this, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of SMS (SMS) being done by the schools. He directed to ensure SMS (SMS) in one hundred percent schools every day. He reviewed the status of regular distribution of Albendazole and I.F.A. tablets to the students and directed that all the students in the schools should ensure the consumption of Albendazole and I.F.A. tablets.
The Deputy Commissioner, while reviewing the attendance of teachers on the e-Vidyavahini app of the schools and residential schools of the district, directed to deduct one day’s salary of all those teachers whose attendance was zero in the month of June. He said that no compromise will be made on attendance. Indiscipline will not be tolerated. He directed the concerned officers to keep UDISE updated and also directed to review the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana every day.
Provide nutritious and quality food to children
In addition to this, he reviewed the school step delivery and gave necessary directions to the concerned officer after reviewing the points related to school step delivery.
The Deputy Commissioner directed to operate the mid-day meal according to the standards of menu / quantity and nutrition received by the children under the mid-day meal. He strictly instructed that the department should ensure to provide pure / clean and nutritious mid-day meal to the children as per the prescribed menu, quantity and nutritional standards. No negligence will be tolerated in this.
On this occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner Shri Niranjan Kumar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Anand Mohan Soren, District Education Superintendent Shri Bikesh Kunal Prajapati, Executive Officer Nagar Panchayat Jamtara and other concerned were present.
