The Gulbarga Mystics triumphed over the Hubli Tigers by 4 wickets in the Maharaja Trophy 2025. The match began with Gulbarga facing early setbacks, losing three wickets with only 15 runs on the board. Smaran Ravichandran, a young player from Sunrisers Hyderabad, delivered a stellar performance, scoring a half-century that proved pivotal in securing the Mystics’ win. He was aggressive against every bowler from the Hubli team.
Hubli, batting first, scored 158 runs losing 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Krishnan Sreejith scored 52 runs, including four fours and two sixes. Shivkumar Rakshit contributed 36 runs, while Mohammad Taha added 17 runs. For Gulbarga, Shashi Kumar and Lavish Kaushal each took two wickets. The Mystics’ chase started poorly, losing three wickets quickly.
Ravichandran then unleashed a powerful innings, scoring 52 runs off 39 balls, including one boundary and three sixes. He formed a key partnership of 71 runs with Prajwal Pawan. Ravichandran has been in excellent form this season, averaging 42.33 with 127 runs in 5 matches, maintaining a strike rate of 141.11. He has hit 10 fours and 7 sixes this season. He is currently sixth in the list of highest run-scorers. Sunrisers Hyderabad also acknowledged Ravichandran’s performance with a tweet.
This was the third win for Gulbarga Mystics this season. They have won three out of five matches and are positioned fourth in the points table.
