The city of Mumbai is facing a critical situation as torrential rains have caused widespread flooding and brought daily life to a halt. Roads and bylanes are heavily waterlogged, creating major challenges for residents. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, reported that the heavy rainfall has resulted in casualties and property damage. Emergency teams, including SDRF and NDRF, are actively engaged in rescue and support operations in affected areas. The IMD’s earlier forecasts accurately predicted the intense rainfall that has now overwhelmed the city. A cloudburst in the Nanded district, particularly in Mukhed, intensified the crisis. The Indian Army is providing assistance to the affected people in Mukhed, and several deaths have been reported due to the adverse weather conditions across the region.
