Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent RJD leader, voiced strong criticism regarding the Election Commission and the BJP during the voter rights यात्रा led by Rahul Gandhi. Yadav alleged that the BJP has seized control of the Election Commission and is now engaged in vote theft, but the public is becoming aware of these tactics. He emphasized the importance of protecting democracy in Bihar and stated that the यात्रा is gaining significant public support. Addressing the Chief Election Commissioner’s press conference, Yadav expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of factual clarity, particularly regarding instances where living individuals were declared deceased. He accused the Commissioner of simply relaying information provided by the PMO. Yadav challenged the Commissioner to publicly disclose if he had joined the BJP.
The voter rights यात्रा continued its third day, commencing from the Hanuman Temple in Punama Wazirganj, Nawada. The यात्रा proceeded through a foot march, and then Rahul Gandhi addressed a public gathering at Bhagat Singh Chowk in Nawada. After a break for lunch at the ITI College Ground in Nawada, the यात्रा continued its schedule. Rahul Gandhi was planned to visit Warisaliganj and pay respects to Bihar’s first Chief Minister in Sheikhpura before concluding the day in Barbigha with a public meeting.
