The city of Raipur is currently hosting a photo exhibition and quiz as part of the celebrations for Chhattisgarh’s silver jubilee in 2025. The event, held at Town Hall, is organized by the Public Relations Department and is drawing significant public interest.
The exhibition features a collection of rare photographs that chronicle the state’s traditions, its role in the freedom struggle, and the key milestones in its formation. Digital displays further enhance the visitor experience with engaging slideshows.
Visitors can also learn about various government initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Krishi Unnati Yojana, and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Information about the state’s first Tribal Museum and other programs designed to foster development are also available.
The seven-day exhibition is open to the public free of charge, running from 10:30 AM to 8 PM until August 21st. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Independence Day, who highlighted the contributions of Chhattisgarh’s freedom fighters through this showcase.
Students and residents alike are attending the exhibition in large numbers, with many expressing their appreciation for the event. A quiz competition centered on Chhattisgarh’s history and general knowledge is a popular activity for children, with participation from several schools and hostels across Raipur.
Silky Dhruv, a 12th-grade student, shared that it was her first time attending such an event, which provided valuable insights into the state’s history and the sacrifices of its freedom fighters. Lokesh Patre, an 8th-grade student, mentioned that he not only participated in his first quiz competition but also won a prize, overcoming his stage fright in the process. Hostel superintendent Yogesh Dewangan emphasized that such initiatives offer the younger generation a chance to connect with Chhattisgarh’s rich heritage and the contributions of its heroes, highlighting the educational value of the exhibition and quiz for children.
