Ranbir Kapoor, a leading actor in Hindi cinema, is at the center of major film projects. Currently, he’s involved with top directors in films like ‘Ramayana,’ ‘Love and War,’ and ‘Dhoom 4.’ Several other directors are eager to cast him. His name has come up for a sequel to a hit film, but he faces a formidable challenge from an actor who has achieved 1800 crores in earnings.
Subhash B recently settled a legal battle with Shemaroo Entertainment regarding the ‘Disco Dancer’ sequel. The Bombay High Court ruled in his favor on August 12, clearing the way for the sequel to the Mithun Chakraborty starrer.
Subhash explained that he created ‘Disco Dancer’ and retained the creative rights. He is now developing the story further and is considering either Ranbir Kapoor or Allu Arjun for the lead roles because of their acting and dancing skills.
K.V. Vijayendra Prasad will write the story and screenplay. The co-producer, Nitin Gupta, wants to create a fresh story that keeps the original’s essence intact.
Allu Arjun poses a significant threat to Ranbir Kapoor. Allu Arjun’s fanbase is much larger than Ranbir’s, and he has gained popularity in North India following ‘Pushpa.’ If Allu Arjun is offered the film and accepts, Ranbir might lose out on a major project. ‘Pushpa 2’ has made over 1800 crores, making Allu Arjun a considerable competitor.
