The funeral feast for Guru Shibu Soren saw the provision of 12 different culinary items, served to both ordinary and distinguished guests. The spread included dal, rice, puri, a potato and parwal vegetable dish, mixed vegetarian options, fried fish, mutton, curd, rasgulla, gulab jamun, bundia, papad, and salad. Special pakoras, a favorite of Shibu Soren, were also prepared. The event catered to over 200,000 people and continued well into the night. Separate arrangements were made for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian attendees.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren was present at the feast, mingling with the VIPs, special guests, and the numerous attendees to inquire about their dining experience.
