At a ceremony in Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai honored the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, acknowledging him as the founder of Chhattisgarh. Sai emphasized that the state’s identity is intrinsically linked to Vajpayee’s contributions. He spoke of Vajpayee’s profound influence as a journalist, poet, and politician, who was renowned for his captivating oratory. Highlighting the ongoing silver jubilee celebrations of Chhattisgarh’s formation, Sai credited Vajpayee for the state’s progress. He announced that the current year is dedicated as Atal Nirman Varsh, focusing on accelerating infrastructural development. Sai reflected on Vajpayee’s vision for Chhattisgarh, noting the state’s commitment to growth and the development of the Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047 roadmap. He also shared his experiences as a parliamentarian during Vajpayee’s tenure, recounting the impact of Vajpayee’s speeches in the Lok Sabha. Sai affirmed the importance of principled politics, as exemplified by Vajpayee, and the significance of dialogue, consensus, and compassion in governance. The event was attended by other dignitaries, including MLA Purandar Mishra and officials.
