A couple who were deeply in love got married in an Arya Samaj temple on May 15th. Thirteen days later, the bride disappeared, and her husband is now worried. He claims his wife’s father took her away, saying he was taking her home for a short period. The bride has not been seen since. The husband has desperately tried to find his wife, and he says the police haven’t helped. The case has now gone to the High Court.
The High Court has directed the SP to find the missing woman and bring her before the court by August 28th. The incident happened in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Suraj Banjare and a woman from Mungeli were friends who eventually fell in love. They got married in Raipur on May 15, 2025. The couple were living together as husband and wife. The husband alleges that on May 28th, the woman’s family came and took her away by force.
**Husband’s Search for Wife Begins**
Suraj stated that his wife was supposed to return home. However, when she didn’t come back, he started searching for her. The woman’s family has not provided any information about her whereabouts. Suraj has filed complaints with the police and has visited the police station, but claims they have not provided any assistance. A month ago, Suraj filed a habeas corpus petition in the High Court, stating that the woman’s family was not cooperating. The husband says he fears something bad has happened to his wife, stating, “I am afraid these people may have killed my wife.”
The petitioner’s lawyer told the court that the woman’s life might be in danger and requested that she be found and presented in court to ensure her safety.
**High Court Issues Orders to Mungeli SP**
The High Court, after hearing the case, took the matter seriously. The court ordered the Mungeli SP to make every effort to find the woman and present her in court by August 28th. The woman’s father has also been ordered to appear in court.
