The arrival of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska was marked by a striking incident, now widely shared on social media. As Trump and Putin progressed toward the stage, a B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber, escorted by US fighter jets, flew over Russian President Putin. This event, a display of US military strength, preceded their high-stakes talks. The B-2, designed for precision strikes and capable of evading sophisticated air defenses, has been used by US forces, as was the case when they targeted Iranian nuclear facilities. In the viral 22-second video, Putin is seen looking upwards at the bomber as it passed overhead, an act that was seen as a message of American dominance before the talks, particularly given Russia’s status as a nuclear power. Only 21 of these expensive aircraft, each valued at $2.1 billion, were ultimately produced by Northrop Grumman.
