In a pre-Independence Day gesture, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai officiated the inauguration and foundation laying ceremonies for a series of development projects in Raigarh district, totaling ₹62.36 crore. The initiatives, undertaken during his visit to Dharamjaigarh, comprise the inauguration of 45 projects valued at ₹42.99 crore and the groundbreaking for 70 projects worth ₹19.36 crore.
The inaugurated projects encompassed a range of infrastructure improvements. Among them was the completion of a bridge spanning the Bhengari Nala on the Dharamjaigarh to Aedukala route, amounting to ₹5.25 crore. Another significant undertaking was the construction of a bridge across the Kharun River on the Pakargaon route in Lailunga, with a budget of ₹6.39 crore. Furthermore, a single village water supply scheme was established across Kharsia, Lailunga, and Dharamjaigarh, costing ₹28.53 crore.
Additional inaugurations included the retrofitting and solar-based water supply schemes. Also, the opening of primary health centers in Bahirkela and Lamdand of Dharamjaigarh and Lailunga. Each center cost ₹75 lakh. A community building constructed at a cost of ₹7 lakh in Konpara village of Ghargoda development block was also inaugurated. Moreover, the CSPDCL 33/11 kV, 3.15 MVA work at the sub-center Khargaon in Dharamjaigarh, which cost ₹1.25 crore was inaugurated.
Moreover, the Chief Minister initiated the groundwork for several projects. These included the construction of tribal boys’ hostels at seven different sites throughout the district, budgeted at ₹13.28 crore. The specific locations for these hostels are Dhaurabhatha, Tamnar, Lailunga, Ghatgaon, Gharghoda, Bakaruma, and Dharamjaigarh.
Further foundation laying ceremonies were conducted for a watchtower at site room number 643 RF in Dharamjaigarh, at a cost of ₹20.33 lakh. Another project included the construction of a patrolling camp at room number 11 RF Kumarta, which cost ₹10.88 lakh. Additionally, multiple projects focusing on infrastructure enhancement were commenced in Dharamjaigarh, including culverts, CC roads, footpaths, RCC culverts, sheds, community buildings, panchayat buildings, and Mangal Bhavans, which amounted to ₹2.54 crore. The repair of 44 health centers in Lailunga, Dharamjaigarh, and Kharsia assembly constituencies was started, with a budget of ₹3.22 crore.
