Vivo has launched the V60 smartphone, targeting the mid-range market. Key features of this new device include a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a substantial 6500mAh battery, a 50-megapixel front camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The manufacturer is providing extended support with four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The phone also incorporates several AI-driven functionalities such as a smart call assistant, an image expander, a spam call blocker, and captioning. The phone will be available in four different configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a top-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The starting price for the 128GB model is Rs 36,999, with the 8/256GB variant priced at Rs 38,999, the 12/256GB at Rs 40,999, and the 16/512GB model at Rs 45,999. Pre-orders are currently open, and the phone will be available for purchase from August 19th through the company’s website, select retail locations, Flipkart, and Amazon. The V60 5G will compete with the Realme 15 Pro 5G, Google Pixel 8a, OnePlus 13R 5G, iQOO Neo 10, and Honor 200 Pro 5G in the Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000 price bracket. Specifications include a 6.77-inch 1.5K resolution quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor built on a 4nm process. It comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device runs on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary Sony IMX766 sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A 50MP sensor is also available on the front. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. The phone has a 6500mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging.
