The Israeli military has been responsible for the killing of 262 crocodiles at a farm located near the illegal settlement of Petza’el in the West Bank. Witnesses reported the creation of a designated killing zone where the reptiles were shot. Initially, the farm was home to around 800 crocodiles.
Reports indicate that the army initially drained the water from the lake before proceeding to shoot the crocodiles. Their bodies were then loaded onto trucks. This farm formerly served as a tourist destination and was involved in the trade of crocodile skins. Approximately 3,000 crocodiles were brought to the farm during the early 2000s.
