Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh revealed that the Indian Air Force’s Operation Sindoor resulted in the downing of five Pakistani fighter jets and one large aircraft. Addressing the HAL Management Auditorium, Singh described the attack on Shahbaz Jacobabad Airfield, where an F-16 hangar was significantly damaged. He indicated that aircraft inside the hangar were also likely damaged. The Air Chief Marshal explained that the jets were neutralized by the S-400 air defense systems. He mentioned confirmed kills of five fighters and one large aircraft, possibly an ELINT or AEW&C aircraft, which was engaged at a distance of about 300 kilometers. This represents a record-breaking surface-to-air kill. In addition to these targets, the operation targeted command and control centers, radars, and several hangars. Singh also addressed the issue of providing proof of the devastation, referencing difficulties encountered after the Balakot airstrikes, due to a lack of irrefutable video evidence. He stated that Operation Sindoor was successful in securing video evidence, which allowed the world to witness the achievements. Singh concluded by stating that the goal of Operation Sindoor was to send a message to terrorists, and once this was accomplished, India looked for opportunities to cease the conflict.
