Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, known for his extensive filmography spanning over three decades, once found himself at the center of a comical yet unfortunate incident. This involved a prank gone awry, resulting in a run-in with the law for unsuspecting moviegoers.
Shetty, typically recognized for his composed public persona, devised a prank involving the distribution of counterfeit movie tickets. The actor, with a mischievous streak, teamed up with a childhood friend whose father worked in printing movie tickets. They created fake tickets with the intention of playing a harmless trick.
On April Fool’s Day, the fake tickets were circulated among friends and acquaintances. Those who received them, oblivious to the deception, headed to the cinema to enjoy a film. However, upon arrival, they were denied entry. The situation escalated into a dispute, leading to police intervention.
The authorities, under the assumption that the ticket holders were attempting to gain entry with fraudulent tickets, resorted to using batons to disperse the crowd.
Shetty’s career began with ‘Balwaan’ in 1992, and he has since become a prominent figure in Bollywood. His notable films include ‘Hera Pheri,’ ‘Dhadkan,’ and ‘Phir Hera Pheri.’ His recent work includes the web series ‘Hunter’.
