Ather is planning to integrate cruise control into its 450 series electric scooters, with the announcement possibly happening during the 2025 Community Day on August 30, 2025. The company is also expected to launch a new entry-level model and potentially introduce updates to existing models. Unconfirmed reports suggest that cruise control will be added to the 450X and 450 Apex models. This feature would likely be delivered via an update to existing owners who have the Atherstack Pro software installed. The 450 series includes the 450s, 450X, and 450 Apex. The addition of cruise control would follow a similar move by Ola Electric, which implemented the feature in its S1 series in June 2022 using a software update.
The Ather 450s is the base model and offers two battery options. The 2.9 kWh model starts at ₹1.23 lakh ex-showroom, and the recently launched 3.7 kWh model is priced at ₹1.43 lakh. Ather claims a range of 122 kilometers for the 2.9 kWh battery and 161 kilometers for the larger battery. The 450s has a top speed of 90 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.9 seconds. The Atherstack Pro software, offering features like turn-by-turn navigation, can be added to the 450s for an additional ₹15,000.
The Ather 450X is priced at ₹1.50 lakh (2.9 kWh) and ₹1.60 lakh (3.7 kWh). The smaller battery provides a range of 126 km, while the larger offers 161 km. It also has a top speed of 90 kmph, but accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. Atherstack Pro costs ₹17,000 (2.9 kWh) and ₹20,000 (3.7 kWh). The 2.9 kWh variant includes location sharing and a 5-year/50,000 km battery warranty, while the 3.7 kWh variant includes a 7-inch touchscreen, magic twist, theft alert, and other features.
The Ather 450 Apex is a limited-edition model launched for the company’s 10th anniversary. It comes only with a 3.7 kWh battery, offering a range of 157 km and a price of ₹1.84 lakh ex-showroom. It has a top speed of 100 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.9 seconds. Atherstack Pro is included.
