A shocking triple murder, resulting from a land dispute, has shaken the Sahibganj district of Jharkhand. The incident has instilled terror within the village community. The horrifying event occurred in Dudhkol village, under the jurisdiction of Taljhari police station in Sahibganj. The dispute centered around land ownership between Bajal Hembram and Noha Murmu’s families. This longstanding disagreement escalated on Wednesday. Bajal Hembram, overcome with anger, committed an act of extreme violence, targeting his relatives – the elderly Noha Besra, her daughter Badki Murmu, and her son-in-law Nathaniel Hansda. He used sharp-edged weapons and iron rods to inflict fatal injuries.
Following the triple murder, the perpetrator surrendered to the Taljhari police station, admitting to the crime. The police, upon arresting the suspect, proceeded to Dudhkol village where they located the victims. The bodies were transported to the hospital for post-mortem examination. An investigation into the matter has been initiated, and the iron rod used in the assault has been seized.
