Tesla is aggressively expanding its footprint in India’s electric vehicle sector, preparing to open its second retail centre. The new Tesla Experience Centre is set to commence operations on August 11 in Delhi’s Aerocity, at the premium WorldMark 3 campus. This location is strategically chosen to cater to clients in the National Capital Region, a crucial region for the nation’s EV development. This opening follows the launch of Tesla’s initial showroom in Mumbai’s Maker Maxity Mall on July 15th. The Mumbai event saw the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who showed support for Tesla’s entry and encouraged investment in R&D and manufacturing facilities in the state. Construction of the Aerocity centre is nearing completion, with its monthly rent reported at around Rs 25 lakh. Social media previews of the outlet indicate the brand’s upscale image. Tesla currently sells only the Model Y in India, with prices starting at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
