Devotion, culture and harmony: Chief Minister participated in the grand Kanwar Yatra of Raipur
Raipur, August 3, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the grand Kanwar Yatra organized in the Gudhiyari area of Raipur on the holy occasion of Sawan month. He performed Rudrabhishek of Lord Bholenath and wished for the prosperity, well-being and public welfare of Chhattisgarh state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today thousands of Kanwariyas have left for Jalabhishek from Maruti Mangalam Bhawan, Gudhiyari to Hatkeshwarnath Mahadev Temple. He said that this event works to keep the glorious cultural tradition of Chhattisgarh alive and reveals the depth of our folk beliefs. The Kanwar Yatra in the month of Sawan is a symbol of the faith, devotion and dedication of the devotees of Shiva, in which the devotees walk for many kilometers and offer water to Bholenath.
The Chief Minister said that the religious and cultural significance of Lord Hatkeshwarnath Mahadev located at Mahadev Ghat in Raipur is very deep. Here, a large number of devotees gather for Jalabhishek. He said that the land of Chhattisgarh is a unique confluence of devotion, faith and culture. Events like Kanwar Yatra not only preserve tradition, but also give a message of spiritual consciousness and social harmony.
On this occasion, a large number of devotees, dignitaries and representatives of social organizations were present including Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, former Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Women and Child Development Minister Smt.
