The districts where the yellow alert is in place are Garhwa, Chatra, Palamu, Latehar, Deoghar, Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Sahibganj, and Pakur. The forecast includes the possibility of heavy rain along with strong winds and thunderstorms in certain areas. The Meteorological Department attributes the weather to a cyclone affecting Bengal and Bihar, which is expected to cause heavy rainfall in these regions over the next day. Rainfall is expected in Ranchi on August 8. Rainfall figures from the last 24 hours show: Godda (Pathargama) – 170.2 mm, Pakur – 81.4 mm, Dumka – 35.3 mm, Latehar – 54 mm, Medininagar – 10 mm, Bokaro – 3 mm, and Ranchi – 1 mm.
