The vote count from the three-tier Panchayat elections in Uttarakhand is nearing completion, revealing a strong performance by the BJP. Candidates backed by the BJP have won a considerable number of seats, totaling 125 out of 358 in the district panchayats. The Congress party has also gained a considerable presence, with its candidates securing 83 seats. Furthermore, the elections saw 150 independent candidates succeed.
