Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai meets Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah

New Delhi, August 1, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai had a courtesy meeting with Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in Parliament House today. During this, Chief Minister Shri Sai discussed various topics with Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, including the overall development of Chhattisgarh, the strategy to deal with the Maoist challenge.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also apprised the Union Home Minister of the achievements of anti-Maoist operations and the future action plan. He said that significant success has been achieved in the campaigns being run against Maoist activities in Chhattisgarh in the last one and a half years. Since December 2023, 445 Maoists, including top Maoist leaders, have been neutralized in 33 major encounters. Also, 1554 Maoists have been arrested and 1588 Maoists have surrendered.
He said that under the state government’s policy of “Integrated Development and Security”, the goal is to completely eliminate the Maoist influence. In this direction, the expansion of road, education and health services is being done. These efforts have not only reduced the Maoist influence, but have also increased the trust of the local communities in the administration.
Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah appreciated the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government for Maoist eradication. He described the state government’s efforts for Maoist eradication as historic and promised all possible cooperation from the central government.
In the meeting, preparations for the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav 2025, which is to be organized to mark the completion of 25 years of the formation of Chhattisgarh, were also discussed. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that special preparations are being made to make this event grand and memorable. He said that through this festival, the state’s cultural heritage, social unity, and economic achievements will be displayed to the world.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also thanked Shri Shah for his cooperation and guidance in the development and security of Bastar.
