Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, held a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House. The primary purpose of the meeting was to invite the Prime Minister to attend the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the state’s formation, scheduled for November 1, 2025, in Raipur.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also provided an overview of the state’s development agenda, highlighting key priorities and future initiatives aimed at public welfare. He emphasized the rapid progress Chhattisgarh is making under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, citing the ‘Anjor Vision @2047’ document as a roadmap for inclusive and sustainable development, aligned with the vision of a developed India. The document focuses on improvements and innovations in sectors like education, healthcare, agriculture, industry, and environmental sustainability.
Chief Minister Sai informed the Prime Minister about the Jan Vishwas Vidheyak 2025 passed by the Chhattisgarh government, which aims to enhance transparency and accessibility within the judicial system, inspired by the Central Government’s Jan Vishwas Act 2023.
The Chief Minister also discussed the Chhattisgarh State Capital Region Development Authority (SCRDA), established to oversee the planned and accelerated development of Nava Raipur, with the goal of creating a modern and smart urban center.
Further discussions covered the advancements in industrial investment and job creation within Chhattisgarh. The new Industrial Policy 2024-30, introduced in 2024, has attracted significant investor interest, aided by a single-window system designed to streamline the process of establishing industries. Incentives are being offered to businesses that generate employment for over 1000 individuals.
He reported that investment proposals amounting to Rs 6.65 lakh crore have been received from 84 companies between November 2024 and July 2025. Noteworthy developments include the laying of the foundation stone for India’s first semiconductor unit in Nava Raipur and the ongoing construction of an AI data center. The state is actively promoting sectors like textiles, pharmaceuticals, ready-made garments, and IT services to establish itself as a technical and industrial hub.
In the realm of education, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing quality education in rural and remote areas through the rationalization of schools and teachers. Efforts are underway to integrate technology with education in tribal regions, utilizing digital resources and trained educators.
Chief Minister Sai also briefed the Prime Minister on the ambitious Medicity and Edu City projects under development. Medicity, being developed in Raipur, is envisioned as a state-of-the-art healthcare center, set to position Chhattisgarh as a leading medical hub and generate extensive employment opportunities.
Additionally, the Chief Minister touched upon the ongoing rehabilitation and confidence-building measures in Naxal-affected areas. The state government’s policies have resulted in the surrender of a significant number of Naxalites, who are now reintegrating into society. The expansion of essential infrastructure, including education, healthcare, communication, and roads, is fostering trust among citizens and encouraging their participation in mainstream development.
