In a recent meeting, Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari discussed and finalized several key road projects aimed at boosting the state’s infrastructure. The most significant outcome was the approval of ₹600 crore under the Central Road Fund (CRF), earmarked for constructing and upgrading roads throughout Chhattisgarh. Additionally, the meeting sanctioned the expansion of a two-lane road within the State Capital Region to a four-lane configuration. To address traffic problems in Raipur, the construction of four major bridges has been authorized. The roads linking Raipur with other districts will also be upgraded from two lanes to four lanes to enhance transportation efficiency and safety. Discussions also covered the adoption of the ‘Gati Shakti portal’ for expediting the approval of state road projects.
