Palamu Police have served court-issued notices at the residences of two wanted Naxalites, Shshikant Ji and Mukdev Yadav. Shshikant Ji, a sub-zonal commander of the TSPC with a 10-lakh bounty, and Mukdev Yadav, also known as Tufani Ji, are now facing the threat of property attachment if they fail to surrender. The notices were displayed at their homes and in public areas.
The action follows an encounter on May 2, 2025, in the Sinjo Mahuvari forest of Tarahasi police station area, where a clash occurred between the police and Shshikant Ji’s TSPC squad. The exchange of fire involved a significant number of rounds. The Naxalites, including Shshikant, fled the scene. Following the encounter, Shshikant and other Naxalites remain at large. The notices were served by law enforcement officers to urge the Naxalites to surrender to avoid further action.
