A disturbing case in Ranchi highlights the lengths to which individuals will go for business opportunities. Ganesh Singh, seeking to secure a parking tender, masterminded an attack on his girlfriend, Sonali Rai, by having petrol thrown on her face. This was done with the intent of implicating his rival, Aman Chandra, in the assault.
The incident, which occurred in the Kanke police station area on July 26th, led to a police investigation. The investigation revealed that the primary motive was to frame Aman Chandra and his associates, who were seen as competitors for the parking tender.
According to the police, a fabricated Instagram profile was used to send threats to Ganesh Singh’s account and spread misinformation about Aman Chandra’s alleged ties to a criminal gang. The plan involved Bhairav Singh, an associate already in jail, who arranged for the petrol attack on Sonali Rai.
Police have arrested Ganesh Singh, the main conspirator. They are also investigating the victim’s possible involvement and are working to apprehend the individual who executed the attack. Bhairav Singh, already in custody, will be questioned further.
