Delhi is reeling from a shocking case of alleged filicide. A man is accused of murdering his 10-year-old son in Delhi’s Narela area. The incident is reported to have taken place on Tuesday, based on a complaint submitted by the boy’s mother. She and the father, the alleged killer, were estranged due to a prior disagreement.
The child was found dead in Narela, Delhi, with visible injury marks around his neck. The mother, Komal, claims that her husband admitted to killing their son. A case has been filed under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Narela Police Station. The police are actively searching for the suspect, who fled the scene after the alleged crime.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that an FIR is being filed under the applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and efforts are underway to locate and arrest the absconding father.
According to the police, “On 29/07/2025, information regarding the recovery of the dead body of a 10-year-old child with visible injury marks on the neck was received at PS Narela. The complainant, Smt. Komal, wife of Narender, resident of Khasra No. 39/17, Om Vihar Colony, Bankner, Narela, Delhi, stated that due to a dispute with her husband, she had been residing separately along with her two children. On the same day (29.07.2025), her younger son ‘V’, aged 10, had gone to school but did not return. Later, her husband Narender informed her that he had killed ‘V’.”
In a related incident in the same area earlier in July, two suspects in a murder case were injured in an encounter with the Delhi Police’s Special Cell in Narela and were subsequently hospitalized. Police stated, “The accused were asked to surrender, but they opened fire on the police party.”
The police reported that the Special Cell’s Northern Range had received intelligence regarding the suspects’ presence in Delhi, which led to a trap being set in the Narela area.
