Users of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones should take note: certain older models will no longer receive software updates or official support. This decision by the company signifies these devices have reached their End-of-Life (EOL).
Xiaomi regularly publishes an EOL list, outlining which devices will no longer receive software support. This recent list includes a number of popular Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones.
While preparing for the HyperOS 3 update, which is based on Android 16, Xiaomi is also removing some older devices from its support list. The initial rollout of HyperOS 3 is planned for newer models such as the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14T Pro.
The EOL list includes the following Xiaomi devices: Xiaomi 11T, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi 11 Lite LE, and Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. The Redmi models affected are: Redmi 11 Prime 4G, Redmi A1+, and Redmi A1. POCO M5 and POCO C50 are also on the list.
Although these devices will still receive security patch updates until September 2025, no new MIUI, HyperOS, or Android versions are planned. Many users haven’t even received HyperOS 2 and are now entirely without software support.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 is currently being developed on Android 16. The company hasn’t confirmed which models will get the update or the release date.
