Raipur, July 25, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that donating blood is a noble deed, which not only gives life to someone in need but is also the best example of our service spirit towards humanity. Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing a program organized by the Indian Red Cross Society today in the village of Bagia in Jashpur district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the “Blood-Friend” directory is a historic and commendable initiative, through which any person can establish direct contact with blood donors on time. This initiative is an important step towards making life-saving assistance easy, accessible, and timely.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that I am extremely pleased to see that citizens from every section of society in Jashpur district are actively participating in voluntary blood donation and health awareness programs and are making their valuable contribution to social service. Today, while providing certificates to blood donors, I feel proud because a person who gives the gift of life is truly equivalent to God.
The Chief Minister said that we all know the importance of blood in our lives. Providing blood of the correct blood group at the right time can save someone’s life, which is why blood donation is called the ‘greatest donation’. The maximum number of blood donation camps are organized in the state through the Red Cross Society, which is an excellent example of public service. I appeal to the people of the state from this platform to participate in this life-saving work by donating blood as much as possible.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is continuously committed to the expansion of health services in the state. Recently, we have taken a concrete step towards ensuring prompt medical assistance by flagging off ambulance services. He said that I want to assure all citizens that our government is committed to providing quality, accessible, and prompt health services to every person.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed certificates to the lifelong members of the Indian Red Cross Society, Jashpur, and released the “Blood-Friend” booklet at the program organized at the Camp Office Bagia. It is noteworthy that the “Blood-Friend” directory is an innovative initiative of the District Administration and the Indian Red Cross Society, Jashpur District, under which the names and mobile numbers of 480 voluntary blood donors have been listed. Through this directory, whenever a patient needs blood, they can directly contact the numbers given in the list to receive blood.
This effort will save patients from the need to wander here and there and will ensure they receive blood on time. Additionally, they can also register as a “Blood-Friend” by contacting the Collector and President, Indian Red Cross District Headquarters, Jashpur (Collectorate Campus, Room No. 122).
