The Air India representative reported that Flight AI 315, traveling from Hong Kong to Delhi on July 22, 2025, encountered an auxiliary power unit (APU) fire soon after landing and while parked at the gate. The APU shut down automatically during the disembarkation process, as designed. Although the aircraft sustained some damage, everyone on board evacuated safely. The aircraft has been grounded for further inspection, and the appropriate regulatory body has been notified.
