The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) has confirmed that two powerful earthquakes struck the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka region on Sunday. The initial earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.6, originated at a depth of 10 kilometers. A second earthquake, recorded at 6.7, followed soon after, also at a depth of 10 kilometers. The affected area is part of the ‘Ring of Fire,’ a region known for its seismic activity. Authorities have not yet reported any damage or casualties.
