A man was found dead in Saraikela Kharsawa, Jharkhand, allegedly murdered by his wife, who subsequently fled the scene with their three children and an unidentified person. The motive is believed to be suspicion of an extramarital affair. The incident took place in Adityapur’s Satbahni Dheerajganj area, where the wife is alleged to have killed her husband by slitting his throat and setting him on fire before escaping. The police are currently investigating the case.
The victim, Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary, was from Giridih and worked as a lab technician at DD Steel in Kolabira. He had only started living with his wife on Monday, having previously lived alone.
Information suggests that Rajesh had initially been residing with friends at Samridhi Apartment. On Monday, his wife and their children arrived in Adityapur, pressuring him to live with her. Following this, Rajesh rented a house from Gorango Mukhi. Neighbors reported regular arguments between the couple. On Thursday, an unknown individual visited their home.
A nearby shopkeeper mentioned Rajesh buying paneer and stating his brother-in-law was visiting. It’s suspected the wife, aided by the unknown person, committed the murder that night. They then fled with the children. The police’s suspicion of the wife is based on the fact that the door was locked from the outside after the incident. The neighbors alerted the authorities on Saturday after a foul odor was detected.
Rajesh’s brother, residing in Raipur, revealed that Rajesh’s wife had visited Giridih earlier, arguing she wouldn’t stay with Rajesh anymore due to his behavior. She then brought the children from their in-laws to Adityapur.
Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary moved in with his wife and children to a rented house from Gorango Mukhi on Monday. On Saturday morning, neighbors discovered Rajesh’s body after a foul smell. They alerted the police, and the wife and children were missing. SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat stated the primary suspect is the wife, and an investigation is in progress.
