Despite the monsoon’s nationwide coverage, Delhi remains largely dry, experiencing only sporadic showers. Humidity levels are high, and the lack of substantial rainfall is causing discomfort. Coastal Karnataka, Yanam, Telangana, and Lakshadweep are also under a weather watch, with thunderstorms and lightning expected. Authorities have issued warnings due to severe waterlogging and flooding in various areas. Alerts are active in Madhya Pradesh (July 21–23), Odisha and Chhattisgarh (July 22–24), Bihar (July 20–22), and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim (until July 21). The IMD warns of worsening conditions. Travel delays and disruptions are likely. Heavy rainfall is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Tripura through July 22. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall is forecast for Rajasthan (July 19, 2025), Uttarakhand (July 20 and 21), West Uttar Pradesh (until July 22), East Uttar Pradesh (July 21), Jammu & Kashmir (July 20 to 23), and Punjab and Haryana (July 20 to 22).
